Château De Pressac – 2012
France – Bordeaux – Saint Emillion – Red

Finely toasted notes with a dark fruity character of wild berries with blackberry, some floral hints and fine spices. Very nice, good weight here, dense fruit, good level of concentration. The aftertaste is quite long and lingering. Still youthful, but with a slight hint of complexity; doubtlessly a wine that should develop really well for quite a long time.

Chateau La Croizille -2012
France – Bordeaux – Saint Emilion Grand Cru – Red

Pure nose, showing very nice fruit. Palate has good density but a soft texture, so a great density of fruit here. But with quite soft tannin and a vibrant freshness. Still a bit youthful on the finish, but I still think it’s attractive. Well-made, with a good purity of fruit and excellent freshness.

Château Le Sartre – Grand Vin De Graves 2011
France – Bordeaux – Pessac Léognan – White

The nose suggests quite high ripeness, but it is really bone-dry and crisp on the palate. Nice juicy acidity. Fine treatment of oak. Barely noticeable on the palate. Very long and bright finish. You feel a certain ripeness here. Fine example with a good drinkability today and potential for another six to eight years I would say.

Château Bellefont Belcier – 2013
France – Bordeaux – Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classé – Red

Good purity of fruit. Mild spiciness, a hint of vanilla on the finish. Long and also that sensation of purity and minerality on the finish. Nice wine. I would say at the same time elegant and with an accessible and juicy fruit. Quite modern and should have really fine potential.

Château Fonplegade – 2013
France – Bordeaux – Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classé – Red

I think this is a wine that will gain more aromatic complexity and nuance from further aging. I’d say it’s a very potent wine that should deserve another few years to open up, but well-made, good combination between that concentration and freshness.

Château Lesparre – 2014
France – Bordeaux – Graves de Vayres – White

I like the smokiness on the nose, still quite present on the palate. However, this is a young wine, so this will vanish in the coming years or so. Quite interesting in character full style of white Bordeaux.

Clos Puy Arnaud – Grand Vin 2012
France – Bordeaux – Castillon Cotes De Bordeaux – Red

I really like this one. I would almost talk about a more Burgundian texture in terms of that finely spicy soft and juicy fruit, excellent purity, a mineral touch and a very long finish. Very good drinkability today, but certainly a style that will age well.
